Subject: Telnet and Mosaic -- HELP!
I'm tring to run Telnet through mosaic, and it's driving me crazy. I have a
Clarkson University TCP Communication Package 2.2 . It works fine for
telnetting when Mosaic is not running. I think the problem may be that my
telnet isn't working through winsock or tcpman or something.
i change my mosaic.ini file, so thats not the problem. If anyone knows
where I can get a better Telnet or knows how to fix my problem, i would
apprecitae all the help.
THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!

Subject: Ws IRC problem
Whenever I try to use WSIRC, I get the message "Can't find file BWCCFRC.
DLL". Sometimes the software still works, but most often it can't connect
to the server and I get the following message: WSA Last Error: 10061.
Any suggestions as to what's wrong would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Subject: Finding IP Addresses...
Does anyone know how I can determine the IP address from
a "wordy" address. Example: how can I find the numerical
address of some.site.ijust.thought.of
I am using Chameleon to connect to a ppp and when I want to
connect to a remote machine I need the numerical numbers.
It does accept the other wordy address. Is there away to
input wordy address or am I stuck with numerical input?
Thanks a lot.

SOMETIMES 'whois' will work.

It appears that your nameservice config is blown. You should
be pointing to a host that offers DNS and let them resolve the
address for you. An alternative is to set up those commonly-accessed
sites in your hosts file.
